A+I Hosts Free Arts NYC
A+I volunteers paired 1:1 with youth for a mini-mentoring afternoon

In early August, A+I hosted a Free Arts Day, a volunteer opportunity that pairs underserved elementary-aged youth 1 on 1 with volunteers for an afternoon of art making. A+I mentors helped children create a theme park and their own mascots.

While working together, youth have the opportunity to develop their creativity through a variety of art materials and techniques. Mentors and youth are able to create meaningful connections with someone they might not otherwise meet.

Free Arts Days are programs facilitated by Free Arts NYC, a non-profit organization that empowers youth from underserved communities through art and mentoring programs to develop their creativity, confidence, and skills to succeed.

Traze, a small batch pizza lab based in Queens, catered the event.
