“You can’t do what the space doesn’t have,” [Peter] Knutson says. “You can’t give somebody what the space doesn’t allow. And so I think there’s a lot of being sensitive especially when you talk to a client about what’s possible and what’s desirable, being sensitive to what the building has got as a voice in the conversation of the design.”
